We have already started a page on that, please look for Type Nicknames. Expat 07:56, 19 June 2007 (CDT)

First page was actually Pseudonyms, not Type nicknames - they should be merged. Machintruc 09:09, 19 June 2007 (CDT)

In my humble opinion, the pages 'type nicknames' and 'type archetypes' need to be combined with this page. (Admin 12:48, 6 July 2007 (CDT))

Go ahead in my opinion :) Expat 12:58, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
Okay, I've done it. The page needs some cleaning up, though. --Admin 16:01, 6 July 2007 (CDT)

Excellent merge. Rick, please delete the old redirect pages Three-letter codes and Four-letter codes. Thehotelambush 19:57, 6 July 2007 (CDT)

Some of this material probably belongs on other pages -- especially the description of the element shapes and the list of Latin roots for the "two-letter" notation (IM elements page?). --Admin 05:57, 11 July 2007 (CDT)

Yeah, we could have a section on the three element naming systems on the IM elements page, with a brief description here of how to make the type symbols & two-letter code from that. Thehotelambush 14:50, 11 July 2007 (CDT)

Perhaps we should start referring to the Four-letter codes as Reinin codes, as these mathematical capabilities are the only really good reason to use them within the context of Socionics. Luke 22:39, 31 July 2007 (BST)

[edit] Pseudonyms

Are they really used in papers or not? And why "Russian pseudonyms" but "English nicknames"? Thehotelambush 01:40, 24 August 2007 (BST)

[edit] Two-letter Codes

It seems that with his definitions, Gulenko is perpetuating one of the more problemmatic aspects of Socionics...namely that the IM elements are described in such a way as to obscure the relationship between the introverted and extraverted forms of a given element. I know this goes way back, but it seems particularly stark here. Clearly, the rationale behind the id block being "strong" is that the introverted and extraverted forms of elements are related, rather than being completely separate animals. What do people think of this? --Jonathan 02:12, 13 April 2008 (BST)

[edit] Interpretation of Ethical elements symbol

I don't know if this interpretation is official, but it's pretty good ! Machintruc 17:15, 28 April 2008 (BST)

[edit] Element names

What ever happened to the abbreviations? Te, Ti, Fi and the like? (though I guess those are english biased... but who cares? Is this anything more than Gulenko promoting the same contempt for the West for which he is known?)

I don't know if there's a separate article for that... This one is specifically about type names. If I think Te, etc. are mentioned as abbreviations on the respective function description pages.--Admin 05:51, 22 December 2008 (GMT)
