Igor Nikolaevich Kalinauskas was one of the early associates of Aushra Augusta and has been actively applying socionics for over 20 years. Kalinauskas is an esoteric philosopher and spiritual guru whose books are popular in the former Soviet Union. He also sings in the "Zikr" duo and paints. Kalinauskas' school uses socionics in the context of self-development as a tool for understanding oneself and other people. His take on socionic types has diverged significantly from the socionic mainstream, and he and his adherents seem to have a low correlation rate with other socionists.

In the early days of socionics Kalinauskas developed a clear and simple model of the psyche based on four functions rather than eight as in Model A. This four-function model is used by Sergei Ganin and a few other socionists but is much less popular today than Model A. Kalinauskas' self-typing is ILE, which seems to be disputed by quite a few socionists (for instance, Bukalov and Karpenko believe he is ILI, Lytov thinks he is an irrational introvert, DeLong thinks he may be SEI, etc.).
