Socionic Types and Spirituality

My observations show that people of the same type have similar innate spiritual aspirations. I define "spiritual aspiration" as one's ideal future self. This is not the suggestive function's "fairy-tale dream" or the super-ego's version of "self-perfection," but how a person perceives his or her actual spiritual potential. Even people who are not at all religious or have not formulated their spiritual ideals usually demonstrate these inclinations to some degree in their values and lifestyle.

leading function innate
spiritual
aspiration
practical
manifestations
extraverted intuition learning without bounds pursue the most diverse possible experiences and information to gain insight and enlightenment
extraverted sensing attaining personal power acquire qualities of a powerful person (not so much physical as psychological or spiritual)
extraverted logic worthy service judiciously and worthily use one's God-given resources and potential to serve one's fellow man
extraverted ethics emotional coalescense love, ecstasy, repentance and exaltation, absolute worship
introverted intuition contact with Higher Powers meditation, ascetism, give up earthly cares to live in a nirvana-like state
introverted sensing health of body and soul health, harmony, variety, and experiencing joy in one's day-to-day activities
introverted logic adherence to Truth diligently follow a true spiritual system with guaranteed spiritual benefit
introverted ethics moral perfection morally correct attitude towards everything — people, events, and God

*NOTE: there are two types that have each leading function.

If we take our observations to the next level, we find that different religious or spiritual teachings reflect the emphases described here. I have developed this topic further in my blog.

Very good.

... In this way, we can see that different approaches to spirituality and religion are inherent in human psychological development. Now, if we can understand this, I think this can ultimately lead to a greater respect for spirituality all around the world. It must be kept in mind, though, that people will have different ways of approaching the same thing... or perahps the same summit, so to say.

I am not sure that "contact with Higher Powers" is accurate, though it certainly is on the right track.  If asked for the most fundamental innate spiritual aspiration, I might instead offer one of the following:

"Invariance of state", likely across some meaningful conditions; examples of conditions include, space, time, or some speculative set of situations that one might appeal to.

"I was, am, will be, simply because."  Again, this is made inthe same spirit as above.

I used to play a lot of computer games, in particular, Role Playing Games.  Even though I have stopped, I still feel the desire sometimes.  It gave me satisfaction.  In hind sight I think it is because the game satisfied my inner desire to become invariant under the settings of the game.  In such games, the main character, amongst other things, generally never dies; also, one might say that sensation experiences are automated.  There is a certain kind of lack of change that strongly appealed to my conscious psych in the simplicity of interactions of my virtual toon with the virtual world.

In conclusion, maybe "Search for Identity" is a little more accurate.

As for practical manifestations, I might instead say
"contemplation, ascetism, somewhat less practical expectations for one's understanding of people and environment"

This is definitely accurate and is something I have observed in a very many ILI and IEI types. I will think about the formulation.

ILEs and IEEs gravitate towards a sort of spiritual search in the outside world, while for the ILI and IEI the search is in their own inner world.
