Socionics Get-Together in London in April, 2007
The dates are April 20-22 (possibly through the 23rd). The get-together will have a mostly informal structure and will involve sitting together at a pub or restaurant that one of our London-based participants (Olga) is scouting out, as well as walking around town together and getting to know each other. There will likely be some serious socionics discussion, and I will have some Russian socionics material with me to present and discuss if there is interest.
We are looking for inexpensive hostels for people to stay at. Many, but not all participants, are from the16types forum. To keep up on the latest news regarding the get-together, follow this forum thread.
If you are not a forum member but want to attend, please write me below so that I can add you to the list and keep you in mind.

2. Summer Socionics Seminar in Kiev, Ukraine
07/08/2006 - Not enough interest was generated to organize a seminar for this summer. However, if you are interested in a seminar for some other period of time, please write. We will have a seminar as soon as there is enough interest to merit it.
If you would be interested in the idea of attending a socionics seminar in Kiev, Ukraine, please apply or give me feedback through the form below. This idea is still in the developmental stages, so we can be quite accommodating of different people's interests.
This seminar or seminars will be held with the support and participation of the International Institute of Socionics. Organizational matters will be taken care of by travel agency Discover Ukraine. We have a number of ideas for how the seminar could be set up. In any event, we will make the program as interesting and varied as possible. All lectures in Russian and meetings with socionists will be professionally interpreted.
SEMINAR FORMAT OPTIONS:
1. 3-day seminar
Focus on getting to know socionists here (we'll invite socionists from Moscow and St. Petersburg as well) and their areas of research, methodology, and applications, and on getting to know each other.
2. 7-day seminar
Focus on gaining a proper understanding of the fundamental socionics principles, in addition to the goals of the 3-day seminar.
3. Lengthier study of socionics (1 month?)
In-depth group lessons on socionics, in addition to the above goals.
TIME PERIOD:
The seminar would probably be held during the second half of August, but if there is enough interest, we will hold as many seminars as there is demand for.
VISAS:
Ukraine now has a visa-free regime for the U.S., E.U. countries, Great Britain, Canada, Japan, and a number of other countries.
GETTING TO UKRAINE:
You will need to buy tickets yourself and inform us of your arrival date so that we can meet you as necessary.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
My partners at Discover Ukraine will arrange inexpensive accommodations at a youth hostel or comparable location in Kiev. Discover Ukraine will also help arrange meals, rides to and from the airport or bus station, and any additional travel you choose to undertake.
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS:
The seminar can be combined with independent or organized travel around Ukraine (Crimea, Carpathian Mountains, etc.) through Discover Ukraine. Also, if anyone is interested in studying Russian or Ukrainian, I have partners who work in that field as well. To learn more about Ukraine, visit my website TryUkraine.com.
COST:
Cost of the seminar/s will depend on the number of participants and the format chosen. Participants will need to pay for accommodations, food, etc. We will also need to pay for renting a room for the seminar and for Russian socionists' train tickets to Kiev. Also, depending on the amount of effort and organization that will go into the seminar itself, we will need to receive some minor compensation for our time as well. A ballpark figure would be around $300-400 USD for a 7-day seminar (including everything but your travel expenses) and somewhat less for a 3-day seminar.
