Getting Started Learning about Socionics

Socionics is a difficult enough topic that you will probably want to revisit pages of this site multiple times and refer frequently to certain charts and descriptions. I have tried to make this site easy to use by creating pop-up charts of socionic types and intertype relations that you can access on many pages of the site. Feel free to write to me if something does not make sense, and I will try to explain it better.

This site is brand-new and is rapidly growing, so I don't yet have all the pieces in place to make socionics completely understandable from start to finish. For now, I recommend reading the following pages in this order (all links below pop up in a new window for ease of use):

  1. Introduction to Socionics
  2. Notes on Augusta's Commentary on Jung's Typology
  3. Discovering your Socionic Type
  4. The 4 Dichotomies and their extended descriptions
  5. The Socionic Types
  6. Overall Type Moods
  7. Information Elements
  8. Quadras
  9. The Theory of Intertype Relations
  10. Intertype Relations with Short Descriptions
  11. Limitations of Types and Intertype Relations
  12. The Evolutionary Basis of Socionic Phenomena
  13. Interview on the Beginnings of Socionics
  14. Notes on Augusta's A Socion, or Socionics Basics
