A master of technical invention. Organized a large laboratory and established methodologies for developing inventions that were viewed as too time-consuming and untheoretical for some (e.g. Nikola Tesla). Used existing theories to solve specific tasks, and made few theoretical contributions, though his inventions have had a profounder effect on the everyday lifestyle of people around the globe than those of anyone else. Took a very practical approach in inventing things, often not trusting theories until he had seen their demonstration in practice. Generally made many tries before "getting it right."

His life had a predictable rhythm, and he worked like a workhorse at his laboratory, keeping essentially the same daily schedule, until his old age.

Externally Jovovich is similar to Sandra Bernhard (SLE), with her tall, thin, but very dynamic frame and her harsh and provocative photo shoots, but she is more businesslike and is not caustic or controlling. Popular among men for being both "seductive and kick-butt."

Many other socionists also see Gillian Anderson her as an LSE. We can forget about socionics
for a moment and read how Gillian is commonly described by other people, and then
compile these descriptions and compare them with our type hypothesis. Some
adjectives describing Gillian that I got are: strong, independent, logical,
skeptical, and no-nonsense.
Here's what she says about her husband (I don't know if they are still
married):
On set, Gillian met Clyde Klotz, the series assistant art director at the
time. "It wasn't quite love at first sight," Gillian says of their
three-month affair. "It was Clyde's smile that first attracted me. He was
very quiet, rugged and cool, but I soon realized he had a lot to say and

Famous for his role in the Superman films. Strong, but mild-mannered. Skilled athlete and musician as well as actor.
Discussion:
I've had a difficult time typing Reeve. Originally I thought he was IEE after sensing an elusive similarity to Tom Cruise (who I later changed to ESE!), but now I'm rather convinced he's rational, most likely LSE. For a while I was thinking EII because of this sense of "being exemplary" that I get from him, but after visually comparing him to my personal collection of LSE photos and reading about his activities (especially his very active lifestyle and physical talents) I'm leaning strongly towards LSE. Here's a great photo gallery of Reeve.

I'm not completely sure of Reeves either, but SEI is not something that comes to mind. I will look into it more, however, now that I think Robin Williams (supposedly a good friend of his) is an ESE. |

I had to look hard for more or less natural pictures (glamour shoots tend to distort the subject).

Very little emotional range. Rather stiff and businesslike. Doesn't seem vicious or overly agressive despite his muscular frame. Has a characteristic dry sense of humor (note: without ever being vulgar) and has spoken some of the most well-known lines in the world ("I'll be back," "Hasta la vista, baby," etc.).
Discussion:
Schwarzenegger is often "by default" typed into the Beta quadra as an SLE or LSI because of the "strongman" stereotype associated with these types. However, I don't sense in him any real dramatic leanings that usually come out in SLE or LSI actors — especially the SLE brand of raw, impulsive energy. Schwarzenegger is very much a goal-oriented, methodical person.

I don't consider eyebrow and forehead shape to be reliable indicators of socionic type. I think Schwarzenegger's obsession with health is a natural and positive one — not the kind of obsession that would come from his weak functions. Therefore, it makes sense that he is a senser. Also, he has always seemed very sure of his own physicality and not self-conscious about his body the way LIIs tend to be. Here's a video to demonstrate. |
