>> Как ты мог Руслану Лыжичко в Драйзерки записать? Она же Гюгошка очень яркая. Драйзерки - довольно зажатые и консервативные, эмоции у них есть, но, скажем так, довольно инертные. Руслана же - человек живой, эмоциональный, взрывчатый и очень заводной.
Такая версия, представляешь, почему-то не приходила мне в голову. Буду рассматривать. По крайней мере, не исключаю. |

He is known for his disarming smile, work ethic, easygoingness, and enthusiasm. Known for being caring as well as handsome and friendly. He praises others a lot and is praised by the other actors he works with. He's been getting some bad press in recent years because of Scientology and occasional strange behavior and statements in public. Seems to be a buddy of Steven Spielberg (ILE); appears in many photos together with him.
Feels comfortable in the midst of squealing, adoring fans. Seems to be a physical person (see video below). Hugs others and laughs easily in public. Not self-conscious about his physical movements or touching people. Robust laughter. Wrestled in high school. Likes action and stunts.

Widely considered the greatest pianist of the twentieth century. "His use of colors, technique and the excitement of his playing are thought by many to be unrivalled" [source]. Was a close friend of Sergei Rachmaninoff (LII in my collection). Mastered Rachmaninoff's 3rd piano concerto to such a point that Rachmaninoff, after hiding in the back row of the audience at his performance, movingly congratulated him and retired the piece from his own reportoire [source]. Despite his cheery, passionate demeanor, he struggled with bouts of anxiety and depression. Mastered the art of putting "heart" into music. Paid considerable attention to his public image.

Interview with Horowitz in Japan in 1983 (not very good because he is very old)
Observations:
An articulate, animated, upbeat and lively people-person and lover of life. Always has the same cheery facial expression. Superb emotional command of situations. Prefers fervent persuasion to dispassionate arguments. Is very open about his strong feelings and passion for issues. Displays all kinds of emotions freely and gets others to laugh easily. Is passionate about issues, about life, and about helping people.

Wife Hillary called him "the most alive person I have ever met." Now I just have to figure out Hillary's type. Clinton is known as being a superb communicator.

Interview with Clinton on Fox News
- Note
his passion and persuasion and emotional command of the situation compared to the stoic Wallace, as well as his comments about Wallace's "smirk," "the look in [his] eye," and other facial expressions.

Clinton is free with his emotions even in many official situations.
Lengthy interview with Clinton about his new book
Comments:
Hyper-active. Very emotionally expressive and verbally gifted. Always entertaining others. Always cheerful. Has a way with children. Rather reminiscent of Bono (EIE). After years of substance abuse now has a tough wife who keeps him in line.
I used to have Robin Williams on my EIE page with ESE as an alternative, but then had some insights and moved him here. He is more externally upbeat and cheery than the EIEs and seems to focus more on entertaining people and making them laugh than on getting "weighty" ideas across. Also, he seems to work quite a bit with other Alpha quadra actors.

Discussion:
>> One person that should be included on the IEE list is Robin Williams, since he appears like a definite IEE in my opinion.
Robin Williams is, in my opinion, a perfect example of an type — always drawing attention to his current emotional state and internal drama, always expressive and dramatic. types lack this dramatism and concentration on expressive words and mannerisms (for example, Tom Cruise or any other IEE's on my list). Plus, Williams is high-strung and borderline manic, and not much prone towards reflection and contemplation as types are. Here is my description of for reference.
>> As for Robin Williams, I can't really see the individual as anything except an IEE because his behaviour seems to be so well attached to an IEE. My theory for the confusion for him being an dominant is that in public he is in a specific mood and that can be confused for . I behave like him at times, but only when I'm in a specific mood or with certain people and I begin to use at that time, but it rarely occurs at any other time. Perhaps, the public atmosphere had altered his mood has and will enable him to use in a dramatic way. I'm assuming that in private locations or in situations that are not being viewed by the general public, he could possibly be more passive and behave in an IEE like way. This quote from wikipedia illustrates an exaggerated characteristic of an IEE.
"Watching his frantic mannerisms and immediate changes in personality, some have speculated that Williams is affected by bipolar disorder, but this has never been confirmed. A more likely explanation for his remarkable creativity and intense impulsive humor may be the reason that he is often referred to as "the poster child for ADD," though this statement is often said with a sarcastic edge."
Strangely enough, it is also noted that he was a good friend and roommate of Christopher Reeve, which could indicate identical relations, however many other types could get along, so this fact may not be relevant in concern with his type.
Well, Robin Williams seems to always be acting up — not only in public. In the Wikipedia quote above, the "frantic mannerisms and immediate changes in personality" are more characteristic of , as they are more emotional than mental in nature. I don't see that he is trying to convey information of a nature. I will look into him more, though, and his relation to Christopher Reeve.
Here is another quote about Robin Williams, from David Duchovny, who cast him in the movie House of D:
"I was lucky to get Robin early on. He was loyal - he stayed on. That was really the linchpin of getting the film made. And I wanted Robin; 'cause I always considered Papas a character as a man boy- and Robin has that - and that great physicality. He hurt me a few times just shaking my hand - and I'm not tiny ya know. There's something about…I wanted that strength- I wanted him to be a little scary if he snapped around the kids. And Robin, as you know, has a real access to that real child like quality. He's very in touch with that and it was obviously very important to the role." [source]
I think the physicality Duchovny is referring to is Williams' sensing qualities and clear "presence of attention." The ability to resonate well with children is another trait found among the other ESEs on this page. IEEs are not good at scaring or disciplining others.
>>
ABOUT Robin Williams, i agree that he's not an intuitive for the motives you've elaborated and in consequence not IEE, if that's for any help. He is either ESE or SEI (he could also be an introvert, did you consider that?)
I think the preference of over is pretty obvious in his interviews (see link above), his stand-up routines, and others' comments about him. |

(Regarding IEI as a possible type for Walt Disney)
>> I think many IEI's can be romantic drifters, people who follow their dream and vision, drifting more or less aimlessly (apart from following their dream) while very unrealistic in practical matters such as money - their PoLR. Then they often resort to their emotional skills to get help from others. Ed Wood is such a case.
When I read about Disney's life — from the very beginnings — he was precisely such a person, a sort of Ed Wood, with two differences: first, he was immensely more talented in expressing his visions in a way others would understand and appreciate, and second, he completely relied on his brother Roy for everything and anything related to money management. It was also his brother who helped Disney get his first job in an animation studio when he was drifting. He only started his own studio after Roy agreed to handle the financial matters for him.
There are other reasons to doubt ESE, such as — as described by his wife — his indifference to food.
I think Disney was an extremely talented IEI, and he often said that he did not care about money, only about his vision — of course that doesn't really work in the real world, but he had his brother to keep his feet more or less on the ground.
Okay, I'll read up more on Disney sometime soon. My impression of him, though, was that a general love of life was more definitive about his life and work than his imaginative qualities and fantasizing. Hence, the way I interpreted his work was through a desire to make people happy, love life, and have fun (an ESE type message) — in this case, through the means of cartoons, movies, and entertainment parks. Disney's imaginative qualities I interpreted as a tool to achieve the greater goal of making people happy, and not as an end in itself.
If he were IEI I would expect to see a lot more emphasis on "meaning" — i.e. movies and art that would provoke soul searching in viewers. Plus, I'd expect to see more dramatism and romantic themes (emotions tied to abstract meanings and causes rather than to concrete things and experiences as in Alpha Quadra).
